What We Offer

Family Outreach Corpus Christi, Inc. is a 501(c)(3), non-profit organization that has served South Texas since 1977. Family Outreach provides, free of charge, a variety of support services to strengthen families. Services include one-on-one mentoring, counseling, parenting education classes and support groups. Family Outreach also assists families in evaluating and finding other community resources needed to provide for the physical and emotional needs of themselves and their families. Our ultimate goal is to prevent child abuse and neglect by strengthening the family unit and bettering the lives of children one family at a time!

Our Ultimate Goal: Child Abuse Prevention

Child abuse is a community problem, costing Americans in excess of $95,000,000,000 each year. Prevention services can help parents stay out of an already overburdened system, keep children from growing up to be violent offenders themselves, and improve the quality of life for future families.

• Family Mentoring- working with the families one on one modeling good parenting skills and supporting the family members through the process of growth and change.

• Parenting Class Facilitator- Facilitate parenting classes in the community or at Family Outreach.

• Community Awareness & Education- Provide information about Family Outreach and its mission within the community.

• Kitchen Aide- Cooking and preparing food for group/class attendees. Includes serving and clean-up afterwards.

• Groundskeeper- Mowing, edging, pulling weeds, cutting branches, planting/watering flowers.

• Childcare Provider- Providing direct care for children while their parents are in groups/classes. Background check mandatory.

• Maintenance/Cleaning- Regular upkeep of our building; duties will fluctuate.

• Warm Line- Answering the phones, providing callers needed resources and a kind, understanding attitude.

• Board Membership- Donate your time, energy and resources in a leasdership role at Family Outreach.
